This is an honest look at what decisions you and your family have to make, what choices you have, and what common myths are out there that need to be Busted ~be prepared to share what you have heard and as a class we can vote on if its fact or fiction.

Comfort Measures and Support

Hot Packs, Cold Packs, Husbands/Partners, Doulas and More! We will we also cover movements and positions, and other useful tools for coping with labor.

The Reality of Labor (note for the Saturday One Day Class Labor Rehearsal is not Covered in Depth)

We will discuss what media portrays as labor and what birth really looks like. We will also look at the differences in the models of Care from the Medical Model of Care and the Midwife model of Care and what that means to you. We Will have a brief time at the end of class to have a labor rehearsal and put some of those new skills to practice!

New Born and Post Postpartum Care

New Born and Postpartum Care, once baby comes into this world you will have even more choices, Cloth or paper diapers, Car Seats, Slings and wraps.. What does a Baby really need? We will also touch on the tough topic of Postpartum Depression and taking care of yourself, after birth and once you and your families are home with the little one.
